About
Our Story
Zoe Thomas sadly died unexpectedly from a short illness at the age of just 13 years. She had an amazing love of people throughout her all-too-short life. She always encouraged young people, including those in need, to follow their dreams, be their best and enjoy life. She also had a real talent and passion for music. Zoe’s approach to life is the inspiration for the Foundation.
Our Services
The Foundation helps young disadvantaged people in our communities to aspire to be the best they can be through its innovative services which are based on the findings of published research. Services focus on their emotional and social needs as these needs are impacted by disadvantage and can impede or prevent young people from realising their potential. Supporting these needs can have long-term benefits and help break the cycle of disadvantage.
The Music Program
The Music Program is beautifully unique. It brings together disadvantaged young people with a passion for music. They are provided with tutoring to learn a musical instrument, explore their musical interests and perform. At the same time, they have mentoring to help develop the practical and mental skills necessary to realise their unique potential. These include goal-setting, team work, communication, collaborative and leadership skills, as well as, thinking skills such as those that strengthen self-belief, self-esteem and resilience.

The inspiration for the Foundation.
