Debbie and Daryl have two grown sons and recently decided that they wanted to sponsor a child. However, they were unsure of which charity they wanted to support.

In 2017, Debbie attended a high tea run by The Zoe Thomas Foundation. During the event, Peter Thomas (the Chairperson and co-Founder), gave a short speech about the vision for the Foundation and what was planned for the future. (Read more about the Foundation's vision in About page.) After hearing the inspiring words the couple chose to speak privately to Peter and find out what sponsoring a child would entail.

The Music Program provides disadvantaged youth with the opportunity to learn a musical instrument, explore their musical interests and perform, under the guidance of a music tutor. During this process, the youth are also provided with a mentor to help develop the practical and mental skills necessary to realise their unique potential. These include goal-setting, team work, communication, collaborative and leadership skills, as well as, thinking skills such as those that strengthen self-belief, self-esteem and mental resilience.

Debbie and Daryl decided to choose The Zoe Thomas Foundation because of the uniqueness of the Music Program. Every month Debbie and Daryl donate to the Foundation to sponsor a child. Sponsoring a child allows one child to participate in the Music Program for a whole year. The sponsorship creates an opportunity for a child to participate in a fun program that will also allow the child to fully reach their potential.

Debbie and Daryl are proud sponsors of The Zoe Thomas Foundation and the Foundation greatly appreciates their support!
